Reflections on History project

Although our group failed this project, i still find that this project is meaningful. Giving me a new learning experience.

I have learnt that TEAMWORK is very very important in doing not just this particular project, but any other project that comes later on. If there is no teamwork, the group will just slack off and flunk the project for sure.

I have also learnt that many improvements have been made in the ancient times during the Golden Age. Gunpowder was made in China and it was very useful in defending the country from invaders. Intricate bronze tools are found in India and Southeast Asia.

I find that our group didn't really put much effort in doing the project. Hopefully next time, if there is another project, i really hope that our group will put in our efforts and be the top among the best.

Reflections on Religions and Philosophies

Well, in a multi-racial society like Singapore, one of the main problems is "rebellions" (Inverted commas as REBELLIONS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN SINGAPORE) between one religion and another. For example, hindus may get angry just because the government treats buddhists better. So it is very, VERY important that the government of Singapore have meritocracy so that "rebellions" will not happen.

Religions affect the way of life in the ancient times. For example, Ashoka (ruler of the Maruyan empire, 269 - 232BCE) announced that he would only rule by "right conduct" instead of harsh treatments after seeing the great amount of death when he was conquering new territories. This hence proved that Religions changed the life of all of the people...

Indus Valley Reflections

This is actually nothing much...

The indus valley had very advanced ways. Such as having the first complex drainage syatem in the world and a granary to store food just in case there is a war (or something like that).

The indus valley cilvilsation existed c. 2500BCE

Some features/sturctures they have are the Citadel, which acts as the "Great Wall" of India to defend themselves from invaders and a great bath, used for religious bathing.
